Relationship Work

Understanding your patterns and building healthier connections.

Your Relationships Start With You

The quality of our relationships has a profound impact on our mental health and overall wellbeing. Relationship work in therapy isn't just for couples — it's for anyone who wants to understand their relational patterns and build more fulfilling connections.

I work with individuals to explore:

  • Recurring patterns in relationships
  • Attachment styles and how they affect your connections
  • Communication difficulties
  • Conflict resolution and boundary setting
  • Recovery from relationship breakdowns or betrayal
  • Co-dependency and people-pleasing behaviours
  • Family-of-origin dynamics and their lasting effects
  • Loneliness and social isolation
  • Navigating separation or divorce

How I Approach Relationship Work

Using a combination of evidence-based approaches — particularly Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and ACT — we'll work together to identify the underlying patterns driving your relationship challenges.

Therapy provides a safe space to examine how past experiences shape your current relationships, develop new skills for communication and emotional regulation, and build the confidence to create the connections you want in your life.

Sessions are available in person at the Carlton practice or via telehealth.
